A blog highlighting Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) devices and arms designed by Hubert de Stockleye (aka Wulfhere of Eofeshamme) of the Shire of Amlesmore in the Kingdom of Calontir. In addition to the devices showcased are links to heraldry sites that teach the basics of heraldry, sites with heraldric art, as well as blank shields for use in designing devices. And then there are posts about anything that interests me dealing with the modern middle ages.

"Per pale gules and azure, two horseshoes and on a chief Or a horse passant gules.
Hi there! I'd suggest a change to your blazon - "Per pale gules and azure, two horseshoes and on a chief Or a horse passant gules."
The first thing we write is the field followed by a comma, so "Per pale gules and azure,". Generally after the comma is the primary charge, followed by secondary charges. Colors apply to anything that come before the color, backwards to the previous color, so "two horseshoes and on a chief Or". (The horseshoes shouldn't have white centers; they should be all yellow by your blazon.) Then the tertiary, the horse passant gules.
Thanks Rowen! I do not know why I forgot the comma after azure, And I knew better on the order. It is just a bad habit I carried over from when I first started learning. And I am still learning so any help is much appreciated!
